* Introduction.
I
am and will always be a Roman Catholic (my
certificate of baptism can be seen here www.zakaria.it/baptism.htm). In July 1989 when I accepted
the Way the Truth and the Life (later on I will explain who that is),
I started investigating if there is a God, because I was an agnostic Catholic,
if He did reveal Himself, if He revealed Himself using 
His people to witness
through a book or through other means, if the book was preserved from
corruption through centuries. Then I asked what book was 
that?
My research started by accepting by faith that the Bible was and is God's unchanged
word, only after that I started comparing it in a critical, impartial and balanced
way with other types of revelations (books). I was very open to change of mind
and declaring "I was wrong" , becuase my soul was in the middle of
the whole process. I then discovered that no man in history ever said that "The
Way to heaven, the Truth in the Bible, the eternal Life was and is through Him"
except for Him, Jesus Christ! So Jesus would have either been the greatest
Liar and crook in human history or the Lord Himself ! I also used
logic, instinct, mental hints and historical evidence to check that out
through non christian historians of the time, as I wasn't there personally twenty
centuries ago to witness the events. The result was and is: Yes Jesus is the
Lord and the Bible is God's Word.
* The discovery
of many strange truths.
Then, in 1991, I continued reading attentively the Word of God with an attitude
of prayer, discovering many astounding thruths, one of them [just one of them
developed in this article] was the complete absence of any of the popular celebrations
held in the world since the advent of Christ.
* No mention of
celebrations in the Word of God.
After a long period of
deep thought, prayer, reflection and meditation combined with personal studies,
I arrived to a crucial point in my personal belief :
Anything and everything
in human's life must be measured by
the sole and only meter of the Word of God in The
Bible.
Having said that, what
I noticed from a thorough reading of the Scripture (the Bible)was the total
absence of the following :
1. No mention of Christmas celebration,
2. No mention of New Year celebration,
3. No mention of Easter celebration,
4. No mention even of Birthdays (I noticed from my personal study that only
two persons [considered by God as evil] celebrated
their birthday: the Pharaoh and Herod). I discovered that alone and not through
the incitement of any cranky sect
(I'm still a Catholic!).
5. No mention of any religious festivity in the New Testament, such as Assumption
Day commemoration on August 15, etc.
6. No mention of the above for the first three centuries by any of the early
Christians.
* From the Catholic
Encyclopedia.
Here are some excerpts
from the Online Catholic Enclyclopedia
(between brackets are some notes by the author):
1.
"Christmas was not among the earliest festivals of the Church. Irenaeus
and Tertullian omit it from their lists of feasts [this and all following
emphasis are from the author]; Origen, glancing perhaps at the discreditable
imperial Natalitia, asserts that in the Scriptures sinners alone, not saints,
celebrate their birthday; Arnobius ridiculed the "birthdays" of the gods."
2. "The first evidence of the feast is in Egypt. About A.D. 200, Clement
of Alexandria says that certain Egyptian theologians "over curiously" assign,
not the year alone, but the day of Christ's birth, placing it on 20 May in the
twenty-eighth year of Augustus. This checks the so called correspondence between
Cyril of Jerusalem (348-386) and Pope Julius I (337-352), to convert Armenia
to 25 December. Cyril declares that his clergy cannot, on the single
feast of Birth and Baptism, make a double procession to Bethlehem and Jordan.
He asks Julius to assign the true date of the nativity "from census documents
brought by Titus to Rome"; Julius assigns 25 December!"
(The author F.Zacaria [FZ] notes that in Rome the historical civil calendar
had on the date 25 December always marked as "Die Natalis Sol Invictus" which
meant "The Day of Birth [birthday] of the Invincible Sun"! A totally pagan holiday
to worship the sun. It was also abbreviated as "Natalis Invicti".)
3. "Chrysostom in a crowded church in Antioch defended the pagan custom giving
it a biblical inerpretation, in Feb 386 AD he said : "Besides, Zacaria of the
New Testament who - as high priest - entered the Temple on the Day of Atonement,
received therefore announcement of John's conception in September; six months
later Christ was conceived, i.e. in March, and born accordingly in December."
(According to FZ this is a total stretching, because there is no evidence
of the above mentioned periods, i.e. atonement, six months, conceived ...they
are mere hypothesis).
4. "Concerning the date of Christ's birth the Bible in the New Testament gives
no help. But logic can help us think that the census (a census is mentioned
in that period) would have been impossible to be requested in winter: becuase
a whole population could not then be put in motion. So the birth could not have
been in winter; we also notice that only field labour was suspended. But Rome
was not thus considerate. Authorities moreover differ as to whether shepherds
could or would keep flocks exposed during the nights of the rainy season."
(FZ notes that the biblical account recounts of flocks being exposed during
the night when they received the supernatural announcement, so it must have
been any season except for winter!).
5. "Natalis Invicti. The well-known solar feast, however, of Natalis Invicti,
celebrated on 25 December, has a strong claim on the responsibility for our
December Christmas festivity. For the history of the solar cult, its position
in the Roman Empire, and syncretism with Mithraism [my emphasis]."
(FZ notes here the very clear admission of historical facts influencing spiritual
lives of millions of souls, instead of taking a step back from paganism, knowledgeable
authorities play with fire: God forgives all sins except putting him equal to
other gods which is blasphemy, see matthew 12:31 --- This photo on the right
taken from a Mithraic art gallery shows the importance of the rising sun which
starts gaining power again on the 24th of December onwards, the tree (christmas
tree), the stars, the tree decoration and the round balls representing the sun
on the tree! In another article the author will expose the Mithraicism belief,
the ancient religion of Mithras in Persia, the god of light or sunlight, and
the astounding similarities with christianity to the point of getting many intellectual
"christians" give up christianity and become simply agnostics after having read
the history of Mithra. FZ will - God willing - expose how the devil skillfully
designed a perfect plan to deviate intelligent people, by inventing a religion
very similar to what cenuries later would become known as christianity) .
6. "The earliest parallelism found between the births of Christ and the sun-god
is in Cypri: "O quam pręclare providentia ut illo die quo natus est Sol . .
. nasceretur Christus." Which means "O, how wonderfully acted Providence that
on that day on which that Sun was born . . . Christ should be born.". But Tertullian
had to assert that Sol was not the Christians' God; and Augustine denounced
the heretical indentification of Christ with Sol."
(FZ: So we can see how early Christians clearly distanced themselves from
this form of idolatry).
* The anglosaxon
"Yule Day" has Mesopotamian origins!
In England, Christmas was forbidden by an Act of the Parliament in 1644; the
day was to be a fast and a market day; shops were 
compelled
to be open; plum puddings and mince pies condemned as heathen. The conservatives
resisted; at Canterbury blood was shed; but after the Restoration dissenters
continued to call Yuletide "Fooltide". The "Yule" has a Chaldean (Babylonian)
origin, it means boy or lad. Even in ancient and modern arabic we
can
sense the etymological development of the word which appears in contemporary
sacred scriptures of the area: "lam yaled walam yulad" i.e. "wasn't
born and wasn't generated". It is addressed to the boy "walad", lad
in English! So in other words "Yule Day" goes back to the Babylonian era and
has nothing to relate to Christmas, it was only united to it in recent history
by the pagans (a pagan is anyone who doesn't profess Jesus as the only
Saviour and His word as the Word of God). The above quote "wasn't born
and wasn't generated" refers to denying the trinitarian nature of God,
but it is very clear and visible in the Scripture, if analysed in its full context.
* The Roman Empire is still among us!
After that genuine period of fully living the Word (the first 2 centuries AD),
the the roman empire became "Christian" because it couldn't defeat
the threatening andgrowing underground "sect" (that's how the 
persecutors
called true Christians hiding in the roman catacomb undergound tunnels). The
true Christians were fighting (spiritually) against the pagan traditions of
the time, so Emperor Costantine took off the Roman royal
robes and put on a Roman priesthood robes declaring himself "I am
a Christian" (this is a well known historical fact).
Unbelievable but true, his successors are still vividly living among us now
and highly respected all around the world, with all their pagan festivities
successfully transmitted down the line up to us. Costantine's false conversion
to christianity was purely political, it was just to gain control and power
over the underground Christians, he beautifully applied the proverb "If
you can't beat them...join them!".
* No mention is no proof of prohibition.
Some argue that just because its not mentioned in the Bible it doesn't mean
that it is prohibited. No where in the Word of God - the continue - it says
that those festivities must not be celebrated. No where in the Bible is a prohibition
of smoking, masturbation, abortion etc. (FZ answers through
biblical verses to be inserted).
* Origins of Santa Claus.
Everyone knows that "San" comes from Latin "Santo" which
means a "Saint". So we have for example: San Luis, San Antonio, San
Francisco, San Diego, etc. it indicates a male name.
On the other hand "Santa" is the female counterpart of the same name,
i.e. a female Saint. So we have for example: Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, Santa
Maria, Santa Lucia etc.
No one will object that Nicole is a female name (or sometimes spelled
Nichol), its origins are from Latin Nicolaus, so Claus derives from Nicolaus.
At this point we have two conclusions regarding Santa Claus :
1. Santa is a female adjective !
2. Claus is a female name !
Question: How come Father Christmas known as a male "father"
is wearing male garments having a beard, and not female garments? The author
has made a research from different historical sources and found that the original
(and also present Santa Clauses around the world) have typical feminine face
characteristics, how is that explained? 
My
research result is that in northern countries were Santa Claus personality originated
there was a very strong social underground movement of women who had a burning
desire to elevate their status not only to be equal to man but to locate themselves
on top of man, it was a form of rebellion against God's order for humans (man
and woman in the Word of God have equal dignity but with different
roles, resulting as the man being the head of the family and not the woman).
Women of that area of that precise period didnt like it (till now of course,
and it expanded all over the globe), so they planned a suttle plot orchestrated
through Satan... they invented a very tricky new tradition which he (the devil)
would actively try promote all over the world in the next decades starting from
that point of history. They invented the classic red clothes and wore it, different
women in different countries in northern Europe in that period were all doing
the same thing, all in red with a white beard, when - after a short period of
time - the idea was accepted, especially by children, it became a custom; so
they convinced their husbands, boyfriends, brothers, and any male to dress us
in that way ... but they couldn't change the name, a female name! We
can all see that he (Satan) was very successful in that. To confirm their success
we have all seen hundreds of Santa Clauses 
dressed
by women, young and beautiful girls in tv and everywhere, sometimes even in
bikini and just with the red hat (see picture here on the left) and a beard.
Now they can do that and the message is "We fooled you all". They
promoted their rebellious idea. And to whoever would say that it was a male
since the beginning (some attempt to prove it historically) these same evil
women of the original idea would reply : "Yes he was a man with a female
name becuase he liked men"! So again they won either ways in insulting
and denigrating man, just out of disobedience to God's plan (i.e. the man is
the head of the family and not the woman). So the above statement was a second
message to the community promoting unions between similar sexes "Start
To Prosper From Now". This practice is highly condemned by God and its
a terrible condition also under the social point of view.
In more recent times some tried to disprove the fact that Santa
Claus was a woman by affirming its origins deriving from "San Nicola"
a male Saint in Italy, but that is a different strory all together and there
is no historical proof or connection, it is just another attempt by the friends
of the above mentioned north european women equivalent in latin countries. The
adversary of God was able to insert in many dictionaries and encyclopedias the
following information: Saint Nicholas comes from Greek name "Nikolaos"
which meant "victory of the people" from Greek "nike" victory
and "laos" people. Saint Nicholas was a 4th-century bishop from Anatolia
who, according to legend, saved the daughters of a poor man from lives of prostitution.
He is also known as Santa Claus (from Dutch Sinterklaas), the bringer
of Christmas presents. He is the patron saint of children, sailors and merchants,
and Greece and Russia. Nicholas was also the name of two czars of Russia and
five popes. We can all note that some information is true, other is false
- because the best kind of lie is the one mantled with many truths, so average
readers or people (and even above average ones) can easily get swayed and confused.
Finally, If you ask where is the place (country or countries) on earth where
women not only have equal rights but regarded as superior to men, well there
is a spot, and if you ask where on earth people belonging to the same sex loving
each other are highly regarded as socially equal to others with same rights
if not more? Yes, its the same spot, over there …up north, where the message
"Start To Prosper" took origin. Thanks for the gift ...Santa Claus!
* Origin of Fireworks.
The search is still being made by the author. Anyway up to now, my research
has showed that from real ancient times (ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, and especially
China and India) men and women celebrated the winter solstice (the sun-god)
as the 
growing
sun gaining power from December 21 by starting small fires in the villages,
towns, cities, all over the world. Small fires to heat and protect them from
winter cold weather yes that was one reason, but the main reason was to give
the sun a hand ! To push the sun, to help the sun to climb and become more
powerful, it was a divine ritual in order to help him, through fire ignition.
The most advanced people with fire works, well before the christian era, were
the chinese and then after that the indians, but other people around
the world were also very keen. Yes it was China who invented beautiful fire
works centuries ago, they were exported or a better word of that age "transported"
all over the world, and also copied and produced in various countries. It is
important to remember that fireworks started from December 21 onwards to push
the sun i
n
its heating and lighting power. In modern times, and since the Roman calendar
started, the top night was (and is, as we all know) December 31.
Under a Christian point of view buying and consuming fire works is bad
because it is cooperating with a tradition far from what God wants, i.e. the
sun-god who is another god, some might think "well we're just
having some fun", God's answer is : No! He doesn't like that, and
He is jealous (see the first comandment), no one is to be put on His level.
The sun is a creation of God, the sun is not the creator. So don't buy fireworks
anymore (i hope no one from the firework industry reads this!only joking).
Fireworks are harmful for your soul (you won't burn in hell if you do buy them,
because if you believe in Jesus as your only Saviour you are saved by
faith anyway), but buying th
em
is harmful to your soul because behindeach firework hides a demon
who will wisper in your ear more rebellious ideas against God and His Word
… besides, you could also harm yourself and others fisically (every year
thousands of people around the world get injured by them and many even die.
In Italy - for example - an average of 80 people each year are injured). The
picture hereon the left we can see a picture of commonly used round ball, used
for decoration, usually put on the Christmas trees ... its nothing else but
a devilish represantion of the sun-god! It is directly connected
to fireworks.
* Origin of the Christmas tree & the Christmas star on top of it.
Research is being made, its a long story! Anyway the word of God in Jeremiah
10:2/5 very clearly condemns it. Here's what our Creator says : 
God
demands from whoever says believes in Him :
1. Not to follow what the majority of the world do "Do not
follow the way of the heathen"
2.Do not put trust in human religious customs "Customs of people
are vain".
3.Do not decorate a tree with silver or golden decorations giving it a religious
meaning "Don't deck the tree with silver and with gold"
4.Do not bow or knee in front of the tree (I did it for years when I was a
small boy, in front of baby Jesus, and all my gifts to be opened on December
25th after lunch!), do not give the tree or all the sorrounding a spiritual
realm because "its the work of the hand of a workman, and it doesn't
move". The Christmas tree is considered an idol, which people put
it at the same level of God "their idols cannot speak... there is none
like unto thee o God".
Unbelievable right? You don't believe me? Check your Bible for yourself. Some
people, wispered by the Devil would say "Oh don't be silly, that verse
doesn't mean the Christmas tree, December 24 was yes a pagan holiday but they
didn't mean to worship the sun, they just venerated it and were amazed by it,
the sun was all their life, heat-light-everything till now, so they just admired
an emanation of God, a creation of God, they didn't consider it God in
person." Well, that's untrue, many populations around the world in the
past, and in the present time do worship the sun and admit it openly. The Word
of God clearly states if anyone admires the creation without witnessing about
the Creator is not on the Creator's side, he or she is on the opposite side,
the Devil's side. God says : "He that is not with me is against me."(Matthew
12:30). Regarding the star on top of it, you won't believe your eyes when
you'll read its satanic origin...watch this space soon!
* Why no references and bibliography?
The author will seldom provide in any of his articles references to persons,
places or bibliography because he considers he values the post modern method
of writing applied to the new era of internet system does not require that.
Here is the reason: by just typing any key word or statement (in this or other
articles) into a respectable search engine it will be able to find huge
amounts of documentation, articles, essays, books, comments that will both prove
and/or disprove what anyone is saying! So the solution is just to pick up
our own minds, pray about it to be guided by our Creator and go ahead, each
one with his own idea, knowing that relativism is the enemy of truth, and the
truth is not divisible.
* Epilogue.
Having said all that, and because we're living in a world where the majority
is following a certain pattern, it would be impossible to beat the majority
(from the beggar to the president of any race and/or colour) so it would be
rational, reasonable and pragmatic to do what the above mentioned Emperor did,
i.e. join the majority! Lot was a believer but he was a weak believer, maybe
both of us are the same!
Salvation is through faith and not through works, celebrating or not celebrating
a pagan feast will not lead to hell as long as a persone puts his trust in the
only Saviour and refuses to bow to other gods (sun-god ot others). So do I celebrate
Christmas or New Year or my Birthday? Well, I can assure you that on Christmas
eve around 10pm I'm happilly sleeping, same on December 31, same on the
night of my birthday! Why? Answer: none of the biblical personalities or leaders
or simple believers did, so why should I ! I've never set a Christmas tree or
any of the decorations, and never wish Merry Christmas to anyone, but when someone
wishes me a Merry Christmas or Happy New Year or Happy Easter I thank them and
say likewise, I exchange gifts when someone announce he/she has a gift for me
(I do the same, as any occasion is suitable to express the love of God). So
what can we do about it? Think of Lot, we're in the same situation. But at least
I (you) are now informed about what Christmas really is. So my final word is:
if you wish me Merry Christmas and Happy New Year i'll say [to be incoherent,
for a change!] :
